IBPS PO Exam

Introduction

IBPS conducts online exam for probationary officers / trainee manager’s recruitment on behalf of twenty nationalized banks. Banking sector is a major recruiter in past few years . IBPS is instrumental amongst them. With the onset of schemes for a bank account for every household, we hope that there will good amount of expansion of banking services, resulting in massive recruitment drives for next few years.

On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2015- 16 based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc.

Emoluments: It may vary from bank to bank. But roughly a typical Ban PO employee should receive salary around 28,000 – 30,000/- After revised salary structure it is likely to go up to 38,000/-

Note:IBPS is planning to introduce a change in the structure of exam. IBPS intends to introduce two tier examinations like SSC. Details are awaited.

Eligibility

Age on 01.07.2015 should not be less than 20 years and more than 30 years. In othe wods candidate should not be born earlie than 02/07/1985 and late than 01/07/1995 (both dates inclusive). This restriction is relaxed for SC / ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years.

Educational Qualifications

A degree from any recognized university and any faculty is a must. It is to be noted that candidate has to provide the percentage of marks / percentage secured. So result must have been declared for the candidates who have appeared for there last year exams. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%

IBPS PO Exam notification is out. As expected examination will have 3 layers. Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Interview.
